Yes, this is how companies make money. Also how websites keep it up, especially if they get popular. Think about it like a newspaper.

I am aware of the academics, I was speaking in regards to the immorality of it all. I mean, these were just censored porn shots of chicks making out and things, which is fine, but consider this, young males are obviously at thesaurus.com doing their homework, and this advertisement is planting the seeds of sexual disfunction.

afterall, apparantely there are over 100,000 Americans who are clinically addicted to porn as we speak, its more deceptive then cigarettes, and in the end can be as harmful.....

Thesaurus.com is a legit site? It's no more reliable than Google is as a search engine. It's not like it's ran by some anti-porn association.

yes but I dont think that I elaborated clear enough. this was censored porn advertising as if it was not porn, but rather just advertisements for some semi-legitish dating site [in other words, not a porn site] on several semi-legitish websites. my beef is not with adware, but with the add itself, which obviously because of adware pops up randomly across the interent, on other perhaps fully legit websites, and in that regard, I am curious how it slipped through the radar.
