Playlist for London
 

A friend of mine is making a trip to London next weekend and I wanted to send her off with a soundtrack for her travels, but I'm having a little trouble coming up with something suitable.
I'm looking for songs by Britains which are not too experimental, quite accessible, and undeniably British.
Help?

if you wanted the thing to actually reflect what london is like then it you'd put a load of grime and dubstep on it, if you wanted to bore her to death then go with what everyone else said.

Chart pop coming from mobile phones' speakers on the bus. Loudly.

The problem with them is that they are a certain London like it maybe was 30 years ago, just maybe. If you are really after what London is and sounds like for real, then The Jam and The Clash will not help.

Go to Harlsden and you'll hear what's good about music in London. Possibly go there in the summertime, put Exodus on you mp3 player and walk through the market.
