techno, electro, dance music. I needs some.

Ok, I'm dipping into a mood for techno/acid whatev music. Like I have some aphex twin and BOC... things like the such, which don't really seem all that techno-y. I totally dig it and want to hear some other things in the genre. Plus I'm going to be rolling sometime soon and nothing's better than good techno and dance music (and ying yang twins) when it kicks.

SO here's to two too.

I know this may be a bit nerdy, but the Wipeout soundtracks (it's some weird racing video game series) have some pretty kick-ass techno tracks.

Check some of the individual games there (specifically Wipeout 3 and Pure) and scroll down to their scores. Some of the songs are game-exclusives and some are trance, but just for an idea on artists it's generally a good source.

Do you want more of the Aphex Twin ilk (techno/electronic/ambient/whatever), or do you want some DANCE music, boy?

I have so much progressive/trance/house/hard house/happy hardcore music, it's obscene. Paul Glazby, Andy Farley, Lisa Lashes, DJ Irish, DJ Dan, Sven Vath, Anne Savage - that crap (when I say crap, I mean it in some cases).

If you're looking for something like the above, I'd be happy to help you out.

I'd also recommend

Squarepusher
Muziq (but not Royal Astronomy, that album sucked)

Mate. I'm soooooo more about the Bonkers comilations than I am the sensible dance music. Yar yar, I could prattle on about Mego, Raster Noton and all that lot, but I am soooooo more about the dirty dirty wrong techno and happy hardcore.

To re-iterate: WHISTLE POSSSEEEEEEEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
