i will have to say rollins just for his intensity and the songs that he did on damaged are better than the ones keith, chavo and dez did on the everything went black demos.

chavo was good but he's my least favorite. jealous again is a damn good ep though.

dez because of his attitude and his voice was tremendous (just saw the fakesfits or the misfakes last year and dez sang four flag songs and it was still that great throaty shout).

still, i believe that each record has the right singer for the job.

was there already a thread about this? the search thing doesn't work for me. it keeps saying error for me. does that happen to anyone else?

actually it did work for me today for the first time in a long time when i tried searching mika miko. that's it though.

it was probably in the old board.

yeah, we just got deja vu'd.

I can't remember what I voted in previous threads, but I've voted Keith this time because Circle Jerks were so much better than the stodgy heavy metal of Black Flag.

really? even when the circle jerks were playing "making the bombs" and "wonderful"? i have that gig album and while very fun, there's some parts that are just whack, like cj trying to be wannabe d.r.i. keith morris was better trying to be keith morris instead of kurt brecht.

later circle jerks were a whole lot worse than later black flag. my war, the process of weeding out, the second side of family man and some slip it in are all amazing albums.

that being said, group sex is one of the best albums there is.

here's an awesome video of dez era black flag. he's singing damaged II (my favorite flag song), which is the only time i have heard them play it live. i wish there's a video of rollins doing it since his version was more intense.
