Charlton Heston is GOOOOOOONEEEEEE

Post your thoughts.

nicfit 04.06.2008 05:34 AM

you pretty much nailed it.
he's gone.

MellySingsDoom 04.06.2008 06:16 AM

Artcle from the Guardian today about C Heston:

http://film.guardian.co.uk/news/stor...271456,00.html

Heston menacing all and sundry in "Planet Of The Apes"? Yay!
Heston's slightly dubious right-wing views in later life? Nay!

Hmm, does this mean we can now remove Charlton's gun out of his cold, dead hands?

ZEROpumpkins 04.06.2008 06:57 AM

Haha I was going to make a cold dead hands joke, but I wasn't sure how it'd go down.

Danny Himself 04.06.2008 07:27 AM

Who shot him?

king_buzzo 04.06.2008 08:08 AM

he dead?

pbradley 04.06.2008 11:23 AM

Most celebrity deaths get either a feeling of remorse for the dead or a "good riddance, fucker" but I am unmoved by his death.

I never thought his acting was all that exceptional.

tetatesticle 04.06.2008 07:10 PM

I didn't care for him. His death has a 'He's dead oh I've heard of him' effect. That's about it. I think I might have even have said 'shit', in an attempt to feign interest.

I think 84 years, is enough for 2 men and maybe one girl.

probably much like his coffin being lowered into his greif hole.

Cantankerous 04.06.2008 07:54 PM

oh well.

Dead-Air 04.06.2008 08:15 PM

Seems the longer he lived the more he embarrassed himself (which is something bound to happen for a celebrity with Alzheimer's) so his family and fans can be relieved.

I like a lot of his lefty '70s SF movies, and always found them oddly juxtaposed with his far right gun nut reality. He was definitely over the top to the point of cheese, but then I always liked watching Shatner in the original Star Trek too. That style works well for that type of material.

Tokolosh 04.07.2008 02:58 AM

I never liked him. On or off the screen.

PAULYBEE2656 04.07.2008 08:15 AM

go to track 11

floatingslowly 04.07.2008 09:01 AM

you people are going to be sorry when those damn filthy apes try to take over and you don't have a gun to shoot them with!

Savage Clone 04.07.2008 09:32 AM

If nothing else, he is to thank for the glorious cheese that is The Omega Man. Creepiest romantic lead in a bad sci-fi movie ever.

girlgun 04.07.2008 10:06 AM

my friend's boywife is convinced michael moore finally ate him.
