EMMAh 04.15.2008 01:33 PM

I have only ever been to Toronto when I was at the air port. So I can't judge that city, and I have never been to Vancouver.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 04.15.2008 01:34 PM

vancouver

Danny Himself 04.15.2008 01:39 PM

East Vancouver has a terrible scum problem, i.e. hoboes and junkies litter the main streets down there, at least some of them nearing the chinatown area. North Vancouver is beautiful however and has Grouse Mountain which is fun to explore, you may even see some bears in the summer (I did). Stanley Park offers hours of relaxation too.

I've never been to Toronto so I can't offer any help there.

the city doa was from

batreleaser 04.16.2008 11:26 AM

vancouver is where doa is from, and yes its the best. one of the most progressive cities in the world, actually set up clean needle exchanges where junkies can shoot up and smoke crack without harassment and prosecution, and guess this, IT HAS ACTUALLY WORKED! aids cases and overdoses have significantly dropped since this has been instituted due to clean supply of needles and quicj intevention to prevent overdose fatalities. maybe our government could realize the war on drugs cant be won, and maybe we can really start treating our addicts as people with diseases as oppose to scum who just are gonna wipe themselves out.

I've never been to Vancouver, but I've been to Toronto lots of times. I have only ever had pleasant experiences in Toronto. Nice people, nice city.

_slavo_ 04.17.2008 01:33 AM

I only heard nice things about Vancouver.

My ex-boss was from Toronto and he was an ultra prick.

So, Vancouver.

ZEROpumpkins 04.17.2008 01:40 AM

Vancouver kicks ass!

I just played a gig in Vancouver, didn't get to see much of the city but I liked it very much. Saw the legendary 70s Vancouver punk band Tunnel Canary, plus there are scores of awesome noise acts coming out of Vancouver... not sure about other types of music... Mutators are pretty cool but that is all I can think of. It is pretty expensive, and that is not just cause of the weak dollar, although that doesn't help much either. I am thinking of moving there eventually also, or atleast spending an extensive amount of time there

When I lived in Vancouver I would get out of the city as often as possible and go across to Vancouver Island, the best place to go if you like wandering around outside on foot. Also liked going up the coast or down to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. Such a gorgeous region, lush, though you pay the price with six months of overcast rain and fog in winter.

All I remember of Toronto is the Hockey Hall of Fame.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 04.26.2008 01:18 PM

I've only been to Toronto, and I thought it was a beautiful incredibly clean city. I felt like I was in some bright and glorious future.

I remember the hockey hall of fame. That was pretty cool. Oh, and in Chinatown, I got a rickshaw ride. That was pretty cool.

super_charger 04.27.2008 09:13 AM

Toronto...because I live here. But seriously, Toronto is really one of the most varied places in the world in regards to people.

h8kurdt 04.27.2008 12:29 PM

Been to both and i'll say

Vancouver>Toronto

Toronto is just a concrete jungle (cliched I know but it's true.

Just remembered that Vancovuer was voted best city in the world. Next was Melbourne. God how i'm tempted to move back there and permantley.

Danny Himself 04.27.2008 12:55 PM

I just remembered, a cop told me off for jaywalking in Vancouver so that has probably biased my opinion a little. She was nasty. :(
