Noooooooo!!! The man was a legend. Did we somehow jinx his death by playing Mornington Crescent ? For me he will be remembered by his immortal quote:
"I am actually 23rd in line to the throne. Thats one small mini-bus 'accident' away..."

That and he did some shit with jazz

Sad, nice voice to listen to even though i only started listening to Im Sorry I havent a clue recently. Its a shame he never got to host Have I Got News For You when the guest presenters stint started, and i hope Ken Clark retires and fills in for him.

Oh no, poor old Humph. RIP, you legend. :(

Pookie 04.26.2008 01:31 AM

That news genuinely makes me really sad.

If it was possible, I'd suggest we make Mornington Crescent a permanent feature.

Glice 04.26.2008 05:10 AM

Oh, for shame. I'm not as aware of his jazz career as his ISIHAC phase. Still, shame.

George Melly last year, now Humph. Another great English institution heads for the great Lyons' Tea House in the sky.
