hard boiled and the killer
AMAZING films!
I'm sure most of you have seen these, but damn. They just blow me away, especially the Killer, which I've probably watched a dozen times. Great. |
i saw hard boiled on sale in barnes and noble by the register, it was too bizarre a scenario for me to buy it.
i'm really looking forward to seeing them. |
yeah awesome, i prefer hard bolied though. bullet in the head and a better tromorrow are both very good too.
|
I love them both ever since I saw them back in the early 90's. fucking amazing action films. My favorite is the killer, because it just fucking rules so much, but hard boiled, which I got to see on big screen was fucking INSANE!

Not since De Niro and Scorsese has there been a better pairing than John Woo and Chow Yun Fat.
The Killer has some fantastic over-the-top dramatic moments. I love the Mexican stand-off Between Chow Yun Fat and Danny Lee in the blind girl's apartment. And I think the opening action scene in Hard Boiled is one of my favorites ever captured on film. Set in a tea house with birds in cages, innocents being killed left and right, the amazining banister slide, culminating with Chow covered in flour spitting out his matchstick and blasting the gangster in the head for killing his partner - wow! |
hard boiled rules...................
|
Yeah both rule @ one point I had both on vhs & I also got to see the killer on the big screen...
|
great films!

Here's a fun drinking game: watch Hard Boiled. Everyone takes a shot whenever a character does. Everyone'll be drunk off their ass within ten minutes.

have watched better tomorrow i (2 is coming soon through the mail) and a bullet in the head recently. bullet in the head's a bit too long and inconsistent in tone but a better tomorrow rules.

I saw Hard Boiled round at demonrail's many years ago, and couldn't believe the staggering amount of gunplay and mindless violence - needless to say I loved it. Saw "The Killer" at the National Film Theatre in London ages ago too, and seeing that on the big screen was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
