Square engineer, shitty equipment, drummer shows up drunk...stuff like that.

detailed recount when i publish my memoir.

but, yeah, when my former band showed up for our recording session, the engineer said "so, drums and bass base tracks, right" and we said "no, the whole band for rhythm tracks". that set the tone for the rest of the session.

guy at the desk watching porno instead of listening to us while we were trying to record.
I must admit that working for free isn't that stimulating (we won a little contest and the prize was 3 songs recorded at that not-too-great studio),still, it was kinda lame.

ohhh yeah...

when we were tracking, we brought a camcorder to document, and we were giving shit to one of the engineers and he told the drummer who was filming "can i have it for a second?" so he gave him the cam and went off, he came back shortly and said "look what i just filmed" and it was porn. it was funny.

we also heated some apple soda on the microwave and tried to convince another engineer that it was tea.

our drum machine didnt work... and seeing as we have a drum machine instead of a drummer, it was a pretty big thing for us.

lost about an hours worth of paid studio time to that thing.

Producer not returning the final mixes to us.

He was a friend of my mother.

i don't have any bad experiences to expunge, all mine have been good but friends have had bad ones, but mostly because of other band members
