Any friends around here?
 

So, on my way home from downtown sitting in a tram I kept thinking about it ... did any of you guys actually acquire any real friendships at this messageboard? I mean, most of us have been coming here for quite a long time now and some of us have actually met a couple of other boardies and hung out etc etc.

But can you actually say that you've found someone you can honestly call a friend around here?

I have not. I wish I did though, since you guys are the only ones in my day to day life that I enjoy talking about music and sonic youth to.

everyone else either got married, had kids, or just plain sucks.

I have met a couple of dudes from the previous board, who also lived in Houston, but they were like 17 and looked scared of me. I had just finished rocking out hard to sonic youyth once, and the other time I ahd finished rocking out hard to Shellac.

Anyways, it's strange, being a reserved kinda guy that I am, I can honestly say I've found 3 or 4 people here that I consider my friends rather than just anonymous pseudonymns.

i met moshe at a concert once, but thats about it...
i made great friends on an israeli message board (pearl jam, no im not that into them anymore) and dated two girls from it. but thats different since we where all from the same country

I wouldn't consider you too old. Some day we are getting high together.

I have never met anyone from the internet (here or anywhere else) and I've never really consistently talked to anyone here, but there are some people I would call friends.

Nope, no real friends here... However I guess I could consider Danny and Rosie as friends since we used to be pretty close back in the good old days.

Have met Porky a few times and have known Melly for bloody years! (but he's a cunt so he doesn't really count.)
