9 volt batteries are the devil

i should really invest in some adaptors for my pedals.

acousticrock87 05.25.2006 11:02 PM

Batteries in general are satanic.

But I hear if you lick the terminals it recharges them.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 05.25.2006 11:07 PM

A 1spot costs 20 dollars.

alyasa 05.25.2006 11:10 PM

Have you ever put a 9-volt battery on your tounge?

oh do so the quickest you can!!!! i used to go thru hell and thru keeping pedals unused because i was always running out of batteries, i got adapters and cables and life is sweet as pie. the only pedals i have that can't be plugged to the wall are my wah (dunlop jimi hendrix from like the late 80's) and my distortion box (e-h double muff) but they are not battery vampires so i can live with that.

marleypumpkin 05.25.2006 11:24 PM

I'm in the same spot you're in youth. Right now, I don't have that many pedals, but the ones I do have all are running on 9 volts.
So, one day I hope to get adaptors for them.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 05.25.2006 11:25 PM

20 dollas!

I currently power 5 pedals with it, I had 6 until the switch in my analog delay broke.

Everyneurotic 05.25.2006 11:45 PM

i have two adaptors (because my zoom dealy isn't compatively with the boss one i have) and the boss adaptor is plugged to this feeder with like five plugs for the pedals, powers them all good.

youthoftomorrow 05.26.2006 12:11 AM

yeah, Best Buy is closed here and the local grocery store only has these adapters for like 5 different types in one .they're really expensive and i'd have to get two. so i just got some more batteries. i'll get some adapters some other time.

youthoftomorrow 05.26.2006 12:23 AM

by the way, i just got a Danelectro BLT Slap Echo pedal for $25. it's pretty cool. bit of a one-trick pony, though.

golden child 05.26.2006 12:29 AM

adapters all the way, but if you have alot of pedals they do kinda get in the way and are a general pain.

I have that same pedal. Along with a boss distortion/overdrive.

I just picked up some 9 volts yesterday for my tuner.

I use adaptors for some effects even because some of them work only with adaptor or directly into old usa plug, then rechargeable 9v batt for some others.

jon boy 05.26.2006 10:07 AM

9v batteries are fucking awful. adaptors all the way now for me after the incident where i was going to play a show, betteries died and i had to run around for about an hour trying to find a shop that sold them.

If you get a 1spot, it comes with a daisy chain.

ooh, and look, if you have no DC jack

BTW, you should try out the PB+J Delay. It is probably Dano's best delay.
