Whats all this VISA malarky, the internet is again confusing me. Do I need one
to live in USA, how can I get one?

It depends on where you're from.

They are virtually impossibble to get. You cant get a visa unless you have a job but you cant get a job unless you have a visa. Its OK to get a student one and you can stay for upto 90 days on a visa waiver but otherwise unless you are very very rich or have aspecific job there forget it.

call the u.s. consulate in rome or whatever
