Tell me about the Lucky Sperms 7"
No info on the discog that I can find. What's the story behind it? It's always just sort of overlooked it seems.
|
i have no idea what that is but i am intrigued.
|
This much I know:
SY + Mike Watt = The Lucky Sperms a 7" was released on Ecstatic Peace in 1987 Side A "Walking The Cow" Side B "Tomorrow Never Knows" (featured on one of the mixtapes) and "Glass Onion" (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) |
wow glass onion huh. i'd love to hear that. then again SY always seem to do covers more goofy than serious, especially beatles covers.
|
Forego youtube and view the "Walking the Cow" video here:

The A side, Walking the Cow is just Watt and Steve. The Tomorrow Never Knows/Glass Onion is an interesting cover with the Tomorrow Never Knows music being played with lyrics from Glass Onion being sung over it. If you go to http://www.corndogs.org you can actually download the single.

"interesting" insofar as it makes one wonder why it's so unbearably poor and why anyone would put it on a record, even if it's a b-side. |
Strange, too because "Glass Onion" would mean that TECHNICALLY Ciccone Youth DID record ONE track from THE WHITE ALBUM.
|
Makes me wonder if there's any recordings of them fucking around while The White Album is playing and being played with.
