well, without delving too deep into my psyche, i basically need to be a better person at this junction in my life and it's just all stagnating.

Gotta take it one nut at a time . Are you making excuses ? Is this something you've wanted for a long time ? Do you have a few stages of goals , those being long term , sort of term , and things you can work on and have done with right now ??

it's two longterm goals i've worked my ass off for.

My number one dream is pretty much unattainable at this point. It almost permanently haunts me, and has got me pretty fucked up at times. I dunno if I know exactly how you feel, but I can sort of relate.

In times of distress, drink, schizo, drink.

I'm pretty interested to hear what they are.
I wish I could give you all my potential, since my only real goal is to marry a doctor.

not at this juncture in time i don't think. because the universe is ever expanding and new technology is developing at an alarming rate, therefore the definition of "everything" changes constantly.



i believe that you can achieve anything within the current realm of reality if you're clever and smart enough and if you work your ass off. and when you think you've worked your ass off and you can't take it anymore, work some more.

willpower and faith (universally speaking) is all you need.

You're a very lucky person indeed if the only things standing between you and the things you want are willpower and faith.

it's a little different if you think about it like this:

- will do anything it takes to achieve goal
- don't suffer fools gladly
- do not allow anyone to stand in your way
- ignore your conscience

And lucky too. Not everyone, no matter how 'tenacious', 'merciless', or 'ruthless' they may be, is able to use those 'qualities' as a means of fulfilling their ambitions. You're lucky because, with just some common sense, you can.

are you speaking about me directly? of course you have to have common sense, you need common sense to accomplish any task, big or small. but if it's big tasks you've really got to be on top of things.

I was addressing you specifically in relation to your being lucky to be part of a society that affords you certain freedoms those of other societies, who may have twice your drive, talent, and tenaciousness, simply won't have, however hard they try.

Which isn't to say you or anyone else should beat themselves up about their privilege. If anything it should make them all the more focussed on making the most of it. Although from my own experience, I've found that being 'merciless' and 'ruthless' aren't necessarily the wisest and most fruitful ways to achieve this.

just don't forgot to live while you're waiting for your dreams to happen.
