peel was the best in the 80s, when he was a champion of everything from post punk to electronic to dub to grindcore

He was very good in the 90's too, actually. He just put a lot of shit in his lists. A bit like you, in a way.

I tend to feel a bit guilty with Peel, in that I'll always champion what he did, but personally stopped listening to him almost entirely by the mid 90s.
