some crap i bought today

ahh i set off at 9am this morning in search of a book and some vinyl and i came back a happy little girl. I found 2 pretty good vinyls. I got John lennon's "Double Fantasy" for $2.99 and the Kinks "Give the People What they Want" for a dollar something. I haven't heard any of the songs on the kinks record i got, so let me know if i got ripped off. I'm going to listen to it later. I also got a book! FINALLY! geez it took me a long time to find a decent book to read. To bad my fucking summer is already over though. Now i'm barley gonna have time to read it when i start school next week.

That book is delicious, or some other adjective that will make me sound like even more of a pervert.

spiritbears 05.30.2006 04:44 PM

no...vonnegut is great...but pkd is god...

Philip K. Dick is exquisite, like peeling off the layers of an exotic alien fruit; like melting tiramisu being savoured slowly... It's a whole experience, especially his collection of short stories.

I just bought Breakfast of Champions. I'm an avid Vonnegut fan. I have 13 of his books, the most of any other author that I own.

2 great pick-ups there Laila. What condition are the vinyls in?

Hip Priest 05.30.2006 07:33 PM

I didn't buy anyhing today, but yesterday I bought three cd's, and tomorrow I'm planning on investing in a bottle of thick bleach.

Nice purchase!

Personally, I would have gone w/ some Bob Marley Hemp Papers.

EMMAh 05.30.2006 08:50 PM

Nah, it was just at the general store... there's not much selection. Zig Zags are good though :D

ricechex 05.30.2006 09:32 PM

the kinks album is good. "Around the Dial" is great, and the title track of course. First show i ever saw was a Kinks show in Portland, ME, in 8th grade.
