Blonde Redhead tonight...
 

Hey guys,

I got in line with some friends to see the free Blonde Redhead show in NYC tonight, but it started pouring/lightning. We waited until 7:45 and then ducked out, doors were at 6:00 and they still hadn't let anyone in, save setting up the stage.

Did the show ever happen?

I'm thinking this will happen tomorrow for the Dirty Projectors show at the Seaport and alas, won't bother trying to go. Don't want to get soaking wet! Neptune, are you going to Battles saturday?

I'm not planning to, are you? Looks like thunderstorms tomorrow too :(

My friend and I decided to leave at a quarter to seven since things didn't look like they were getting any better and we didn't want to be walking back to the subway in the pouring rain. The show did get canceled. I'm not sure if they'll reschedule it. =\

Glad I didn't miss anything, then. Where would it be listed if it gets rescheduled?

I imagine any reschedule would be posted here.

The lineup is too fantastic to miss (Black Dice and Gang Gang Dance opening) and by the look of it, the possible thunderstorms shouldn't be too bad. Sunday's looking good though for Aesop Rock at the Pool.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to reach out to give a sincere apology to everyone who came out to our show last night at Pier 54 in NYC. We fought hard against Mother Nature to try to get the show on but seems she won in the end. We want to thank everyone who came out and waited in the rain. We were right there with you. Soaked standing outside, hoping to play. In the end, all of our equipment drenched, the stage in about a foot of water and the lightning illuminating the sky, the show was unfortunately called off for safety reasons by the NYC Parks Department. We want you all to know however that we are working hard to put together another hometown show. We were so excited to be able to play a free show at such an amazing location but we promise to make it up to everyone who came out. As soon as we have any details, we'll let you all know and hope you will brave it again.
