anyone care to help me with my Last.fm troubles?
 

hmm, seems that i've got a new laptop and with it a BitDefender anti-virus.

the anti-virus is blocking my last.fm from connecting (right after you install it, you have to register) and logging me in. my mouse turns into a sand clock thing and then the program is blocked but i'm still able to close it.

so how do i disable this BitDefender from blocking my last.fm?

i know, i should just get a free one off the net. but this one is excellent.

hmm i turned it off and tried to launch last.fm and i still cant get anything.

king_b: try re-installing last.fm again - there may have been a problem w/the initial install...

There isn't any way for bitdefender to enable certain things on it?

no its really good, it protects like, everything.

yeah there's a whitelist and i have last.fm and its .exe file on it but it doesnt seem to work.

You should try reinstalling it as Melly said. For some reasons I've had tons of shits with last.fm updates install.

this is what i've done now: i turned off both my firewall and the bitdefender and installed it. it does the same thing, here's a screenshot of what it does:





you can't see the mouse but its just like any normal mouse pointer while you wait for something to load (the sandclock).

it just doesnt load and just stays like that forever.

i think i disabled that as well. but it seems like the problem isnt the anti-virus but the program itself since both the av and the firewall are turned off.S
