Bata Motel
Crass http://www.sendspace.com/file/le3i89 It's catchy, good lyrics, female vocals, and it's Crass of course. EDIT: I keep writing Hotel instead of Motel. Video for those too lazy to download: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5GoFz6CPtI |

coaltar of the deepers - evil line
Everyone's favorite japanese without-a-hint-of-irony ambient/electronic/pop/death metal/super-shoegaze constantly surprises me with each new album. Their newest one is no different, featuring some of the heaviest riffs ever and some of the sweetest vocals I've ever heard. Super heavy pop bliss. Anyway, this song's great. |
Requiem
M. Ward http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIMVxQy0mCU I love happy songs about death. It's sort of a triumph over the sadness of a death in celebrating what was good about the man's life- he lived it to the fullest. I can't explain it properly.. this song says it all though. "He summoned all of his joy when he laughed, It suffered all of his joy when he cried, And sometimes when he got into talking.. Man, he could rattle on and on. He was a good man, and now he's gone." |
Old Time Relijun - "Carcerato"
brings back good memories from a few years ago. |

Death in June - Fall Apart A song by one of the legends of that strangly British phenomena that is esoteric apocolyptic folk music. I'd also recommend a book called England's Hidden Reverse by David Keenan if anyone's into this sort of stuff. |
radiohead - you and whose army
the overwhelming feeling of I dont care combined with unbreakable which starts at wround 2:00 (piano) |

boris-flood III
i listened to this song on my way home. one of my top ten songs of all time and definatly one of the biggest influences on my current musical style. really one of the mosty beautifly poetic perfect peices of music i have ever heard. the part when they start sining like 10 minutes in almost brought me to tears today (but unfortunatly i have not cried in 6+ years) |
Well, it's 01.30, so it's technically a new day.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx5Giwpz0v4 Lay and Love - Bonnie Prince Billy Nothing much to say about this song, apart from the fact that you should listen to it at least 12 times in a row and then go and lie in the grass with a lover. |
modest mouse - stars are projectors
what happened to them? this seriously is one of their best songs. and it really fits for the type of day i had today |
The Byrds - Have You Seen Her Face
I started listening to The Byrds again recently, it was a choice between this and My Back Pages. I love the harmonies, the guitar, the solo, everything about it. |
