Yes, anyone can listen to NPR.
|
Yes on the way to work and home.
I find their bias almost as annoying as television news, but overall it's the best news broadcast coverage in my estimation. Pacifica is too far to the left to get any sort of feel for how most people see things, which is more why I listen to news. To get into things a little deeper I usually read stuff online. |
I listen to it some times with my dad. In Dallas there's this guy named Paul Slavens that gets to play whatever he wants from 8 to 10 pm on Sundays. I've heard him play Sonic Youth and avant garde jazz in the same block.

NPR is a great source for world and U.S. news to be sure, but has anyone else ever noticed that people that ritualistically listen to it daily always seem to be uptight and boring?
|
sometimes we listen to it in the car on the way to lunch. I like the health talk guy Dr. Zorba. he's got a crazy laugh.

What do you make of us? Elitist cunts? Of course we do.

Oh, is that what my problem is? Will it go away if I stop or is the damage already done? |

I dunno, yes we talk about all kinds a stuff here but it seems like yr first post should be about SY. PS my brain is jello--I was positive I was spelling first wrong. |
I listen to NPR mornings and afternoons on the way to and from work.
|
No car, no NPR.
Though I do miss the human interest stories. |

ha. in my first post i think i argued with atari about movies. that was ages ago. |
I prefer BBC, americans rarely can ever get to the point and give us the actual details and the news.
|
Driving through Canadia, I thoroughly enjoyed the CBC--especially the show that happened to be on the diffences between Canada and the US.
