Good choice! Canon... getting any lenses with, or already have some?

I'm buying body only as the 18-200mm that it comes with I have been told by two pro photographers and the guy at the store that I am better off buying the Sigma equivalent that is much cheaper and is just as good. I am also buying another lens (wide angle) plus a uv, ploariser and an ND +3 filter.

no timecode, basic audio only, but the possibility of using photo lenses, DOF as a cheap video tool,,,, oh sweett....

the 5D here in aus body only is $3999. The one I am buying is $1695au body only. The quality of that video of the 5D is nice hey. good little portable film camera for making shorts as well as the beautiful photos they take.

no worries, although i think tokolosh and slavo probably know a hell of alot more than i do, i have just been doing lots of research lately cos if i'm gonna spend that much cash i wanna know what i'm buying

that short shows what you can do when you know what you're doing, and the picture is pretty amazing for video done on a DSLR. Although the focus pulling isn't that great it looks a bit clunky but that may be just because it is a skilled stills photographer focus pulling for video, different skill entirely. the quality is awesome though

sweet. I have a 40d and love it. You'll have no regrets.
