Time for a thread about a band that doesn't suck.

Bird Nest Roys have some great songs, and what the hell kind of a name is Bird Nest Roys?

That name sucks, though I was seriously thikning of starting a punk band called "the corndog men" this week.

I've just started a punk band with some friends called 'The Bruce Willis' and all the songs are about films Bruce Willis has been in.

That youtube footage of this band is really dodgy but I like what I hear through the fuzz..

No kidding, on the IRC efnet channel #poptart.net, I used to chat there about 8 years ago, and some guy on there named ikehole had a metal band called the bruce willisses.

So... that's really fucking bizarre.

Dang! Well, we thought 'The Bruce Willis' was an even dumber, grammatically incorrect name, so as to reflect the pointlessness of the band.

I've got their song Jaffa Boy on the Flying Nun box set, which is pretty good.

it's a man's name, Roy Lichtenstein, Roy Ayers, Roy of The Rovers, etc.

btw, Verlaines had Robbie Yeats as their first drummer...much different sound/style than he would adopt when playing w/ Bruce and Michael
