Senior quotation

Did you have one? What was it?

I'm looking around for ones that I like now.

The one that I like the most thus far is:

"I have never let my schooling interfere with my education."
-Mark Twain

deflinus 01.22.2009 09:58 PM

"you can't piss on hospitality"
- Michael Waits, Troll 2

"When we threw out that trash, man, was the bag in your hand? Did you dump it? Call later. Bye."

I actually don't remember what mine was, but I think it was a rather standard/serious one, and I kind of regret that. I wish it had been more random and meaningless.

Alex's Trip 01.22.2009 10:01 PM

In the first place, God made idiots. That was for practice. Then he made school boards.
Mark Twain

hahaha, would be funny...
I want mine to be kind of cheeky, but not meaningless.

acousticrock87 01.22.2009 10:06 PM

Yeah, I getcha. I just was thinking out loud, I guess. In retrospect, I'm kind of jealous of friends that put down Jay-Z quotes and stuff. Those actually turned out to be more reflective of that time in life, I think.

Alex's Trip 01.22.2009 10:09 PM

I'm afraid if I put too much thought and seriousness into it, no matter what it is, I'll come to regret it. See the quotation in my signature.

acousticrock87 01.22.2009 10:14 PM

Exactly. You should replace "final decisions" with "senior quotes" and use that.

Alex's Trip 01.22.2009 10:19 PM

Fuck.

138 days 22 hours 40 minutes until graduation.

So excited.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches." - George Bernard Shaw

"... nothing that is worth knowing can be taught." - Oscar Wilde

Alex's Trip 01.22.2009 11:04 PM

I was thinking George Bernard Shaw would have something good like that, but I hadn't check him out yet.

And Oscar Wilde is great, but is quoted everywhere.

demonrail666 01.22.2009 11:06 PM

"I learned all I know, by the age of nine." - Lux Interior.

atsonicpark 01.22.2009 11:26 PM

it's the same as in my profile.

you tried and you failed, so the lesson is: never try.

I think I had one...it was probably something by Wilde or from Hitchhiker's Guide...or "Move forward, not backward. Upward, not forward. and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom"...I at least wrote that one in several people's yearbooks that I did not know.

"No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher's dirty looks

Well we got no class
And we got no principles
And we got no innocence
We can't even think of a word that rhymes"
