i dont want anything expensive just some multitrack software with the basic functions and some effects

Uhmmm... audacity is the most simplest and easiest you're gonna get. It's free also.

but audacity is more of an editor.
sure you can multitrack record with it, but something like garageband is more easy to start with.
but audacity is maybe the best program you can get for free, I agree

audacity is awesome, and i can't say it enough. i use it for recording/multi-tracking/editing and mixing. i highly recomend it.

i've tried audacity and reaper and they're good but when i record my guitar parts it takes 5 seconds until the recording starts to sound phased/watery.. anyone knows whys that?

im trying to download the others as well

even if i record just one track.. it sounds ok but then it starts to sound all wrong.. like with an effect or something... weird O_O

maybe a wrong cable/connectors/soundcard or anything?
