photography or motion pictures?

Which medium do you prefer working with - if you have a preference - and why?

(post pictures and/or links to videos you're proud of, please)

I can't imagine putting the effort into video that I do into still images. I would go utterly mad trying to make each frame into a masterpiece, so instead, when I do video, it's pure amatuerish slop. I don't do much.

Here's a photo I'm pretty proud of (as opposed to one I very recently did, which the "Art" thread is full of):

That is nice, though, I'm not sure what I'm looking at. I realize it's outside somewhere, but again....not exactly sure what I am looking at.

I like both, but I like taking photos, editing them more.
cause I like to work like forever on one piece till its finished.
here is a shortfilm I did at university with two buddies of mine.
that was the best film work I was working on so far, editing footage till the company you are working for likes it sucks big time. free shooting like this thing rules and flows a whole lotta better

I gave photography a shot, and it just wasn't my bag. Much too much worrying over a single image, seeing as how it is usually the entire piece. I heavily prefer working with video.

The beauty of "motion picture" is in it's eclecticism. Taking beautiful imagery, mood-provoking sound, and tying it all together with the strong back bone of a great story can produce some of the greatest art of our time.

Looking at other people's photography and motion pictures makes me wish I had some ounce of talent.

One of my favorite shots by me.

I've thought seriously about going into motion pictures, but... eh, it just seems like a HUGE leap from photography, which I have mastered pretty well.

I also think it depends on which tools you are using, are you going straight analog or are you used to digital post production, in both fields,
it got its advantages and draw backs
