Well biggie and tupac are both good. They both have different style because where they come from. Tupac is more hardcore than biggie, because he is from the westcoast. Biggie was influenced on that whole New York scene.

Maybe it is just me being naive, but I don't think coast has anything to do with the "hardcoreness' of the rapper. True gangsta rap did originate in LA/CA, but the idea of living by guns and drugs was just as much of a NYC thing too. I mean, Tupac said "Thug Life" but he was a high school actor and back-up dancer. Biggie slung crack and did time for it before making it big. That's where I fail to see Tupac as being more "hardcore". Yeah, he talked it and was gunned down for it, but did he really live it? Eh...I might just be talking out of my ass.

So what you're saying is, high school acting and back-up dancing are not hardcore? What a twisted worldview.

What I meant to say, is that east coast had more of a clubbish (don't know what other word to put.) feel to it, where tupac was more rugged in their sound, and not really danceable.

What I think I was driving at was that Tupac talked Thug Life but doesn't seem to be the most hardcore person to me of the two, Biggie has that distinction.

I really am not a big fan of either. I was just instigating, and pretending like I had west coast pride.

I do, but not in rap.

Well, if we start preferring rappers to area, I guess I'd have to rep Three 6 Mafia...who I avoid like the plague.
