This guy has posted the digitalized recordings (from cassette) that he and his friends made in the 80s at their visits to Video Arcades.

I had an idea like this the other day, record a full 8 hour shift at my job, call it "field recordings from a grocery store" and release it in a 8-disc set.

But...

Sounds like a good idea. Everywhere has some exciting sound to offer, I suppose- the kitchen I work in is a great noisefest, the dishwashing machine, the electric whisks, doughmixer, vegetables being chopped, the clang of pots and pans falling over because I never stack them properly ETC.

There was a time you could urinate on gas station walls.

INSIDE the station? Like on the wall with all the engine parts? That's what I'm talking about. Sigh, what good times... .

I once saw a bloke on the floor getting his head kicked in by two others in a Tel Aviv video game arcade. I was hidden behind one of the video game cabinets.
