MBV Announce more US Tour dates

You have approximately five weeks to listen to nothing but quiet, calm, soothing music before your ears get blasted by My Bloody Valentine once again. The shoegaze godfathers and godmothers will return to the United States in late April for a round of dates surrounding their Coachella appearance. And they're hitting cities they didn't play the last time around, spreading the love to Austin, Dallas, Denver, and Seattle. Then, they'll play the Primavera Sound Festival in Spain in late May.

My Bloody Valentine dates:

04-18 Indio, CA - Coachella
04-21 Austin, TX - Austin Music Hall
04-22 Dallas, TX - The Palladium

04-24 Denver, CO - The Fillmore Auditorium

04-27 Seattle, WA - WaMu Theater at Qwest Field

05-28 Barcelona, Spain - Primavera Sound Festival
05-29 Barcelona, Spain - Primavera Sound Festival

But still no boston date, wtf !!!!!

worst reunion ever. they basically just do loveless too loud. make noises about recording new material but don't bother. no enthusiasm, just tryin to cash in on old glories for a feelgood cash buzz.

Did you know, in 1991, instead of earplugs, venues gave out hearing aids at MBV gigs?

MellySingsDoom 03.12.2009 04:08 PM

^^^Ha ha ha - I don't remember them giving them out at the Forum in 1991...damn!

Yes. Volume for the sake of volume.

If it makes you feel any better, they were the same the first time around.

auto-aim 03.12.2009 07:54 PM

i think the new stuff if it ever surfaces will be good... it'll have to be good with this kind of build up - and i think that's why we aint had anything yet... and I think that's right on

auto-aim 03.12.2009 07:55 PM

i agree its been a little lame though to just play loveless

batreleaser 03.12.2009 07:55 PM

yeah i was wondering why they didnt hit boston, we love MBV!

joe11121 03.12.2009 08:03 PM

I love MBV, but i want a new album. I mean what 18 years since Loveless. And yeah, it's true they seem to be stuck in the era, but they said they were like half done the new album before they disbanded. And said they were gonna release it soon after finishing... no details since then, at least not that i have seen. Im pretty sure that was said last year or something, how long does it take to record half of an album? Oh and since they haven't even played a show for a few months... Ah, I dont get it. Does anyone know anything about this new album the is supposivly coming out.

I saw them live this summer and it was one of the best concert experiences of my life. Top 3 I would say.

atsonicpark 03.12.2009 09:11 PM

Sounds like another boring tour from another boring ass band.

dazedcola 03.12.2009 09:28 PM

I really want some new material by the end of 09 by mbv otherwise they really are milking it.Fans are so desperate to hear something new they'd shower praise over kevin shields playing the jew harp.

atsonicpark 03.12.2009 09:32 PM

He already plays butt trumpet every show.
