At first I thought this was going to be all "TROLLS ROON INTARNET" and such, but it actually gets pretty deep in to the troll community. I was particularily surprised that Weev allowed for an interview to this extent.

Good article, am on the 3rd page so far... it further cements my belief that /b/ represents everything wrong with the internet.

Back when I first started using the internet, and newsgroups, this was roughly 12 years ago... there were trolls, but they were usually funny and ridiculous and not so mean-spirited.

/b/ is to trolling what bands like Metallica are to metal. Introductory stuff, widely acknowledged... but really now that's just for beginners.

I used to be on efnet all the time. I stayed in one little chatting spot for most of it, as any time I went to other channels... well... really scary things! All I'm saying.

I generally find that anyone with an IRC background will have much more of thick skin than people who use more... social online community means (facebook, forums, blogs and so on). You just kind of get used to everyone being assholes and wanting to DDoS you.

Put you money where your mouth is and burn down a children's hospital, I say.
