My court date is finally here!
in about an hour or so I will find out if I will either be in jail/have probation/drug court or dismissed of charges of possession of marijuana.
Considering the fact that i blew what little money i saved up on an attorney and am now behind on the rest of my bills, I really hope for the latter. wish me luck. |

good luck
report back don't do drugs or drugs will do you (...) |
best of luck my man.
here's hoping you have a kind and sane judge. |
Then, move to Connecticut
"On a groundbreaking vote, the legislature’s judiciary committee decided Tuesday night to decriminalize marijuana possession for adults 18 and older who have less than half an ounce of the drug." |
Or just stop doing drugs.
And clean up your room. |
i am in favor of moving anywhere that doesnt criminalize such a silly excuse for a "drug."
My room is already clean. I couldnt find my biggest tax return sheet, and completely cleaned out my truck and my room and my desk. It took me like 2 hours. It wont be dirty for awhile. Thank you for your concern though. the court room drama is to be continued. I called my lawyer as i was stuck in traffic after map quest gave me the wrong directions to the court house, and she told me i didnt even have to be there today, so there will be yet another court date. I really hope I dont have to pay these court fees... |
^fuck
bummer this kind of stuff always goes one forever, ask AC |

that doesn't necessarily mean what you think. decriminalization of marijuana is not the same as legalization or even deprioritazation.. Legalization= no or few restrictive or prohibitive laws concerning the use, possession and production of the cannabis plant Deprioritization= Courts, law enforcement and judiciary turning a blind eye to and dismissing cannabis related cases to keep them from clogging the system, this is what cities like West Hollywood and Vancouver, Canada have done in the past years.. Decriminalization= this is what california did was a groundbreaking step when they established the HS1200 codes, which makes cannabis a health and safety code violation, not a technical misdemeanor, and so it is much less a crime, in fact is is a temporary misdemeanor which is treated in the courts statewide the same as a traffic infraction, but is kept on the state criminal record as a misdemeanor for two years, then automatically removed as if it never occurred. i've been arrested quite a few times here in Cali for this, I am becoming quite the expert. in florida: the laws are still backwards and redneck conservative and you are facing "Possession of 20 grams or less of marijuana is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000. Possession of greater than 20 grams of marijuana is a felony, punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000" which is why you were very smart to get an attorny. Here in cali, it is cheaper to take the deal, cop a guilty plea, pay the fine and wait two years for everything to clear up, though it backfires a bit as they pile up like parking tickets.. above all, melkam adel nna Igziar Yimareh! (good luck and God Bless) |
