The one thing I really hate about live music today...
... e-tickets. I've been to so many seminal gigs over the past few years, and all I physically have to show for it after the gig is a stamp on my hand or a crappy email print-off with a code on it. I've arranged all the actual gig tickets I've ever had in order on my pin-board, and yet theres huge gaps where there should be a reminder of some incredible nights of music. Such a shame. I've pretty much said all there is to say on this subject, but if you wish to continue my rant, feel free...

i used to like it when tickets had some design on them. Then ticketmaster or whoever begun to take over and all we got was a generic boring dotmatrix printed ticket. even the hologram was dull....

I hate that shit tooo

Are you saying that he is being anal, or that you hate anal?
|
I hate people who're just so anal about anal

he hates anal. can;t ever clean the shit resideu from beneath his foreskin

I hate that I don't have ALL the tickets from my hundred or more shows too. I have a buttload of them though that I have recently framed along with my wristbands, autographs, and backstage passes. (And by backstage passes I am not refering to anal.)
It's a fun and decorative reminder of some of the awesome show experiences I have had. I will try and post a pic soon... |

"is it live... or is it memorex?"

Yeah I've noticed that too. I think the ticket as we used to know it is obsolete. Which is kind of sad. I collect them of the shows I go to as well, I also like to keep the newspaper advertisment of the gig too, if I can find it.

I like collecting the wristbands

just curious if you buy records or just download |
Someone take a picture of this fellow's handstamp with your camera phone and email it to him.....otherwise, he won't know where he's been the night before.
Me, myself...I go to about 2-3 shows per week, and maybe once in two years do I see a show where there's a ticket of the e- kind or the real kind. What I usually leave with is memories of a great time. |
The "print your tickets now thing!" is such a gip. Charge you $2 to print it now usually. The other options for the Dinosaur/Ladyton&Faint shows I'm going to is Will Call (which I hate even worse because I have to get there and stand in TWO lines) or pay $14 for 2-day shipping the week of the show.

it's a fucking piece of paper.
sentimental nostalgic fuckwits |
I barely ever go to shows where you even have the option of paying in advance.
