Recommend me some late 50s music
Early 60s is also acceptable.
I am potentially going to be writing for a fashion magazine that is expanding its horizons to include music, and my friend who already works there said they are moving in a late 50s vintage direction. Figured I'd do some research. |

I have the first, but not the second. Can Ken Burns Jazz replace it?

Almost anything that came out on the Blue Note label in the late 50s and early 60s is exceptional jazz.

This fucker from 63 will eat your soul. Best RnR guitar sound ever in the history of ever.

![]() I don't really know if any of these are from the late 50's. I'm pretty positive several of them are from the sixties. But whatever, it's a great listen. There's a weirdo version of the Addam's Family theme with a bizzaro jazz section that seems completely exempt from all of the TV broadcasts. There's great stuff on there though. And Fugazifan, like your signature. That could very well be my favorite Stereolab song. |
