How does Bluetooth work?
Really I know this is a stupid question because this seems to be a common sense thing but I've never used it, I just use cell phones to.. you know.. talk.
SO basically what I am doing is trying to hook up my Wiimote to my PC as a game controller. I have the program to do it and the Wiimote itself, the bridge between it is getting Bluetooth activated? There is "Bluetooth Devices" on my control panel, so I am assuming my computer has it built in. It won't pick up my cell phone, though? How do I turn Bluetooth on? |
You need a device that receives data from you phone and needs to be plugged into your PC. They're really cheap.
|
Even if it's "built-in"?
|
I would get the "built-out" kind myself.

I'm not sure 'cause I have an old PC wich needs an external device. I would have imagined that if you have 'built-in' bluetooth on your computer all you have to do is go to the control panel and switch it on. Not sure. |

your machine changes the file into a 2.4ghz radio signal then the other end recieves and converts it back into 1s and 0s....
in the case of your wiimote the computer will make a solid connection with it and data from the wii is sent to the computer.... voila!!! |
