Where the hell is naive melody?

Huh?

Was she just a flash in the pan?

A ship passing in the night?

A one-night stand?

A spring romance?

A quickie?

verme (prevaricator) 05.27.2009 09:02 PM

what?

gmku 05.27.2009 09:04 PM

If you have to ask, you'll never understand.

You could have easily made that a Red Hot Chili Peppers reference and you didn't. It's things like this that make me disappointed in you.

gmku 05.27.2009 09:11 PM

Well, feel free to enlighten me. I see that as a strength in you, your possessing some tidbit of knowledge that I don't. Use this to your advantage, kiddo! It is such that shall free you from awkwardness.

Not being a diehard RHCP fan, I imagine "naive melody" is a RHCP song title or some such?

I bought the Mother's Milk LP in the 80s. Listened to it a lot. Then heard the d.j. (female) of the alternative radio station in Newport News describe how she was assaulted in the limo when she tried to interview the band when they came to play in Virginia. She wasn't your shock jock. She was low-key and conveyed integrity, so her account pretty much turned me off the band.

...no.

If you have to ask
You'll never know
Funky motherfucker
Will not be told to go (oh woh woh)

gmku 05.27.2009 09:15 PM

I see.

I was reaching back a bit further to a jazz musician of old, actually. Actually.

Sonic Youth 37 05.27.2009 09:19 PM

Naive Melody appears to be a Talking Heads song.

Reallyyyyyy? Who was he? I shall explore his soundscapes with my ears.

gmku 05.27.2009 09:23 PM

Google Satchmo. Or Louis Armstrong.

if I were to guess, I'd say, she was run off like all the other new people that think "hey, I like sonic youth", only to discover that this board has nothing to do with sonic youth and everything to do with The Fine Art of High Cuntestry.

afterthefact 05.28.2009 09:27 AM

floatingslowly 05.28.2009 09:32 AM
