New album w/Tim Alexander on drums.
Does anyone know when it will be relesed? I know it's sometime this year, but when? BUT WHEN??

How Derek didn;t wanna play drums?

I don't know why Derrick's not on the new album. He seems to run the Meat Puppets website and there don't seem to be any clues there. Although I've only scanned it briefly myself.

The only reason I'm not more excited by the prospect of a new MP record, is because everything Curt kirkwood has done since they split has sounded just like a continuation of the band. And the last record didn't have Cris on anyway. Even the Eyes Adrift CD was a Meat puppets record as far as I'm concerned (as long as you ignore the dire Krist Novoselic tracks).

Still looking forward to new CK stuff though!
