This is great news, but here's hoping they DON'T play Sacred Trickster.

Too bad they don't fly you there if you win. :P

Fallon is insufferable, but The Roots make that show watchable. Sometimes. I would like SY to play Anti-Orgasm & the Roots could join in at the instrumental section of the song and they could have an epic fucking jam for like the rest of the month.

I think I may miss this, but I'll catch it later online, and since they played Sacred trickster once on a TV appearce, so they wont play it again.. I dont think so at least.

Actually, they didn't really. They played Incinerate on Letterman, Reena on Conan, and then Incinerate and most of Reena on Kimmel. So I'm thinking they'll do Antenna, and I certainly HOPE they do Antenna or What We Know. ~Jeremy~ |
Haha I can understand why you might be dissapointed, but I don't really understand how ya'll really expect much else... when it all comes down to it, tv gigs are business excercises. Are you gonna go into your business sales pitch/proposal with the concise effective pitch (sacred trickster) or the long drawn out and more descriptive pitch that while good might bore away potential sales (massage the history)...
Just be glad they are out there showin what they can do to a large audience, god knows they dont get many chances to do that. |

that is pretty true. kimmel allows bands to play two songs. i haven't really watched fallon's show. but i remember conan using the one song per band format. good point about reena on conan though. it was a later appearance after incinerate had been around for a bit. i do hope they do play their other songs. sacred trickster is not my favorite song on the new album. |

They tore it up on Letterman though, Sacred Trickster is a tight lean rocker, and a good one.
It's no 100%, but its likely to perk some interest in the band for the uninitiated who might be watching. |

Yeah, it's probably my least favorite on the record, hence why I want to see something else. I should also point out that for Sonic Nurse they traded off as well. They did Unmade Bed on Conan and Leno, and then Pattern Recognition on Kilborn (They didn't play Letterman to support Sonic Nurse, oddly enough). History has shown that Kim and Thurston trade off songs (Poor Lee), unless they do Sacred Trickster on Fallon and then maybe play Antenna or something on Conan or Kimmel, but with the tour dates already lined up I'm thinking that won't happen for a while... ~Jerem~ |
come on Antenna (or what we know)! when they played in on Jools it was absolutely amazing
|
Anything will be good, I just hope they do something other than Sacred Trickster, but even if they do, it'll still rock!
|
It would be amazing if they just came out and played Walkin Blue.
|
Crack out anti-orgasm, thats definately the way forward on national television.
