So I am suddenly obsessed with the idea of chess..
 

I don't know much about the game, but I've been playing it a bit the past couple of days, and I'd like to learn more maybe? Are there any good non-Wikipedia websites on it for beginners and/or a good book to buy for it? Maybe a good online chess community? =D

Yeah, chess is pretty cool. Just learned how to play it about 2 weeks ago..

I like to play, but I'm not very good and hardly ever get to.. I'm not sure which one is the cause/symptom there. It's something I'd play with friends.. if any of my friends played chess. But they don't.

i like chess, when i was really into wu-tang clan i started playing it, really good game that takes skill though i've kinda stopped playing

not long ago I started playing the computer chess game on my PC but I think I broke it :s

i used to play this a lot when i was a kid. i called it "awale" though (a quick search through wikipedia confirmed me those were really aliases of the same game)
and this one does indeed look amazing

chess is great. highly cerebral, yet antagonistic. quite the fun fun
