I'll be seeing them...and then Sunn 0))) 2 nights later most likely. Too bad they're both seated shows.

I went to a show of theirs a few years ago. I got yelled at for asking my friend a question during the set. Apparently fans of Yo La Tengo cannot stand talking.

I saw them last summer and was pretty underwhelmed. I really like some of their albums, but the set was kinda weak and it seems Ira is really into wanking/"skronking" when he frankly isn't good at it.

I don't know. Maybe it was just an off show.

I've wanted to see them play for ages, think this is the year for it. On their website you can listen to two of their new songs.

cool, theyre coming to santa cruz, ca, which is right by me. i may have to go see them, even though i only have heard 2 of their albums. from what ive heard tho, i like them.

The last and only Yo La Tengo show I saw had this drunk guy next to me unintelligibly yelling and falling onto the people in front of him throughout most of the set.

Yes. They take requests and their shows are unpredictable setlist wise, in case you plan on seeing them more than once in a tour. They do quiet very well as well.

the single from the new ylt record sounds great, trippy but with violins, cant wait to see these guys live in september.
