I don't really like David Gilmour, he always came across as an asshole to me.

Your thinking of Roger Waters, Gilmour is chill, he seems way down to earth.

he is alright, the Live at Pompeii dvd (original feature) is great and he throws down some crazy licks on Echoes, contributes cool noise on saucerful, as well as some hypnotic lines on Careful with that Axe, Eugene (ie. the coolest idea put to song. ). You might want to check that out SpectralJulian, if your into guitar...

but to be honest I didnt like him the least bit as much as Syd....

I don't know. I think his playing on all the early stuff is great. I just remember watching videos of them live, and it seemed more like a Dave Gilmour solo act then a Pink Floyd concert. It seemed like he had to be the center of attention after Waters left.

It's a good film but the director's cut kind of sucks.

yeah I never watch the director's cut, ever. Just go into special features and watch the original feature...

The director's cut sucks to because its wide screen and the image of Nick Mason's drumming in all those little squares during One of These Days... fucks up the image. im telling you the original is 60x better.
