HAHA check out this 1995 song from my highschool band!
 

I made a page on myspace for my highschool band Manna Hatta so people could hear this song we had on a 7" compilation with 3 other bands. We made 500 copies and sold about 10! I still have a bunch of them.

I got a 1982 Willmar Elementary Boys' Chorus 12" for $.25 at GoodWill a couple of weeks ago.

It was kind of an inside joke. There was a kid who would fuck his girlfriend in the laundry room of his apartment...not too exciting.

I actually like the song, but the chorus just obliterates it. I remember talking to Silas (who sings and played guitar) about not using the distortion on the chorus, but he wasn't gonna budge. The loud/quiet dynamic was already pretty tired by 1995. It's a nice relic of it's time though. There's another song I wrote (one of the first I ever did) that we recorded at the same time that I'll try and find and post. It's pretty embarrasing though...

I don't think it is the soft/loud dynamics that are tired, just the speed change. I think if the chorus was loud but slower it would be better.

HAHA I'll send you one if you want one...It ain't too bad. I actually probably look about the same, since that was about the last time I ever had my hair this long. Aside from the wrinkles and beer gut that is.
