Sonic Youth 2005 Live - Appreciation Thread

I just finished watching SY from eurocknees festival in Belfort, France '05 and I'm blown away again by their performance....goose skin. I had chance to see few live sy dvd's from 2005 and just want to say that sy rocking like 20 yr. old, doing excelent performances....their like on their peak....

.....one of best live bands....new bands live shows are nothing compare sy......thank you SY!!!

I love Thurston with Lee ending of that show. Thurston in totall ecstasy, hehe.

i love those french DVDs, Eurocknees and perhaps even more Rock En Seine... while i was in paris i saw posters all over the city for rock en seine, but i had to go home before the concert happened... now that i watch DVD, its like the best fucking thing in the world... these 2 shows are in such a great quality, and art rock show with sy and mercury rev... damn, its so great when thurson picks up a small guitar from the guy in the audience and plays on it :D its all fucking great... i want more DVDs of such quality, but most are ripped from VHS which really suck... ok, enough said...its all fucking amazing

transition from mote to new hampshire is excelent.

it's awesome when camera takes faces of each member durind the new hampshire and you see total devotion to to music they play.

The only SY action I saw in 05 was the 2 shows in Hoboken but they both rocked big time. I hope to see em more in 06.
