albums that no longer play because you wore them out
 

I pulled out some of my Hot Snakes cd's today and discovered that nearly every track on all 3 albums skipped. I take really good care of my cd's, but yeah. I then remembered when I was about 15, this was all I would listen to, every day. I found this really interesting. Some other albums that do this, because I listened to them so much:

wire - pink flag
captain beefheart - ice cream for crow
shellac - at action park
number girl - schoolgirl distortional addict
boredoms - super ae
stars of the lid - ballasted orchestra
wipers - over the edge

That's all I can think of at the moment. What are yours?

I went through 3 copies of "Dirty" thanks to wear. From 1992 to 1996.

"Ride the Lightning" by Metallica. Funny 'cause I played "And Justice
For All" waayy more and that plays like a champ to this day.

I don't believe that ASP actually owns CDs or Vinyl

Slanted & Enchanted for a while. It was all fucked up.

The only albums I've ever worn out were my cassette copies of Simon & Garfunkel's Greatest Hits and *gulp* Californication (though I suppose I could have been listening to a worse RHCP album.)

I don't own any records. I had some I sold. I don't own many "actual" cd's at this point because I sold all the ones I didn't totally love (and, perhaps ironically, the ones I totally love are also the ones that barely play!) because I was supposed to be moving. I own tons of casettes though.

Oh, and I have about 80 full spindles (which hold about 55 to 105 cd-r's each) full of burnt cd's, most with more than one album on each cd-r. That's not even counting all the data discs I have full of albums I never burnt...

I thought CDs were supposed to last forever.
