any fans?

i've seen her play a couple of times, one time was great, one time was alright.

I saw Carla Bozulich when she was touring the Red Headed Stranger 5 or 6 years ago. Nels Cline was on guitar.
I remember thinking it was pretty great, but that's all I've ever heard from her.

Never heard anything by them but I know that I'm seeing them in November (they're opening for Wilco) so I'll give it a try.

pretty nice stuff. kinda depressing, but pretty soon will fit my winter mood.

I'm a big fan of Carla, but I don't like Evangelista at all....

Ethyl Meatplow, Geraldine Fibbers, Scarnella & her first solo efforts ("red headed stranger"/"i'm gonna stop killing") are truly great. I'm still waiting for Night Porter stuff to be released.

Yeah, I can't think of why a Carla fan couldn't like Evangelista. This strikes me as her best work yet, although I'm still especially fond of the first Evangelista album (which was actually titled Evangelista and released under her own name). That is one of the tip-top best albums of this decade.

I've seen the band three times, and it was superb each time.

saw her open for Xiu Xiu a year or so ago, great show. Really like Red Headed Stranger but haven't heard much else.
