Doing something cool for my birthday this year
 

I just found out that Teenage Jesus & The Jerks are playing on my birthday with Duchess Says and AIDS Wolf. The thing is, they're playing in Montreal, and I live in Toronto.
As a kid my family moved a lot and it was always within 2 weeks time of my birthday (one year, we moved on my birthday) or someone in the family would die close to that time. It wasn't really a happy time for me to be honest.
Anyways, I've decided that I'm gonna make the trip for this. I have class until 10PM on the Thursday, catching the midnight bus to Montreal, wandering around for 12 hrs, going to the concert, wandering more, catching the 6am bus back to Toronto so I can go to work the next day.
I'm sure no one here really cares... but I'm really really excited about this.

It's my 30th birthday in a few weeks, people are starting to ask questions and trying to make me do something and i really can't be fucked, but i know i will end up caving in to societal pressures.

met a cool writer/programmer chick who's in her 30s. got her number
met a cool poli sci grad chick, got her number
Layover in a small town called Madoc at a gas station that only sold fireworks, snack foods, home baked snack and had Kiss From A Rose on a constant loop
got in to Montreal
wandered around the city
ended up finding an arcade
beat some frogs at sf4
had lunch at schwartz's deli
went to the concert
got felt up by the chick from AIDS Wolf
Danced on stage with Duchess Says
got felt up by the chick from Duchess Says
SAW FUCKING TEENAGE JESUS AND THE JERKS
wandered off to other concerts and snuck in to Japandroids and later on The Humaneye
hung out with some people from Virginia
banged a chick from Virginia
caught a bus back to Toronto

Hey!! I was the guy who sat beside you on the bus to Montreal, who was miraculously, also going to see Lydia. I've been checking to see if any photos have surfaced from that night, (particularly of me looking mortified during the AIDS WOLF set) and remembered you posted here... I found your post quite easily.
