How rare is this record?
Hey
I just bought a 12" 'Death Valley '69" single at a local record store. It's the pink one, with the picture of them in a car on the back. It has all original inserts, including a lone page of lyrics. It's in decent condition. I bought it for 8$, anyone know how rare this is? thanks. |

alright, but how rare is it? just wondering if i've stumbled upon a gem or what.
|
I would not have a clue.
|
$8 is definitely a nice deal for that release, but i'm not sure it's particularly 'rare'. i saw it a few months ago in a seattle record shop that was overpriced on ANYTHING remotely 'rare' and they wanted $30 for it (or was it $50? i dunno, either way it was too much).

I had one a while back. I think I paid about $10 for it. Seems average.

I paid $15 for an original copy on my trip to la in 1994.

You can pick this up at any Starbucks.

$8 is a good deal on any sonic youth 12" single from the 80's.

Check the value of it in the "Rare Record Price Guide 2010". :) |
watch this auction and you'll get an idea, there is one currently on buy it now for $35 so i'd guess it goes for less than that in auctions

It's not listed, which means they consider it worth less than £8. That sounds about right to me. |
I bought it for 200 rubles (~$7) from my local vinyl store back in 2008... totally NM copy. unfortunately - without insert.

thanks pals
