I'm buying an apartment...
...and I'm about to sign the contract TODAY!
85.000 Euro mortgage, good days are gone now. but finally, I will own something of some value, other than my sampler. |
Congrats, Slavo!
Hopefully you'll feel quickly at home in Petrzalka. ![]() |

no, fuck no no. Petrzalka never in my life. The place I'm heading to looks something like this: ![]() and it's really fucking cool. Very unlike that depressive industrial Petrzalka suburb. @nefeli: it cost me 108.000 EUR altogether, it's a 65 square meter apartment with a parking place included. |

how are apartment prices in Athens nowadays, nefeli? how much would I pay for a flat like that in your land? the reason I'm asking is that Bratislava is one of the most expensive cities in Europe, as for housing and such. |
Damn cheap! Congratulations slavo. I pay enough rent monthly to buy 3 African children a skyscraper each.
|
congrats. Slavo! where about in Blava it is?
|
oh, that's brutal!
i didn't think the prices would be that high. here, about 2 years ako (at the peak of real estate boom) the prices per suare metre (new) topped 2.500-2.700 euros. I thought about buying a place to live back then but then I told myself: "wait, this is ridiculous" and we put it off. now, as I hold my calculator in hand, it's about 1.700 EUR per square metre, which is neat. plus, there will be fully equipped kitchen waiting for us (with all the built-in appliances, except for the fridge). which is cool, because kitchens tend to be expensive. |

Trnavka, near Avion shopping mall, if you know whereabouts. |
oh slavo im so happy for you!
its really not expensive if you consider prices somewhere else this is great news |
i know that well.
but in certain places getting our own place is more difficult than in others. the ratio of people who can get or afford mortgage changes according to country, location, blah. shit, i worked in real estate, BRIEFLY. I had to. |
congrats slavo.
all this euro price talk and square meter talk has got me hungry for a kebab |
either way i was just trying to make him feel better about it.

But you failed. Because you're a bad person. Well done Slavo. Ignore knox. She just wants to stamp on everyone's dreams. |

It just occured to me that the handshake between you and an estate agent would look something like this. ![]() |
Don't fuck wit' me and my hockey bitches
|
Thanks for turning this one into a Nazi thread.
Either way, contract signed, my childhood is over. |
Great.
I really hope you'll enjoy your new place. Is it far from the center? Rents and heating costs are killing me at the moment. Hope you don't forget to put in a comfy couch so i can crash at you're place next time I pass out in your drinker-frindly capital :-) |

THe architecture is beautiful. Our apartments here are traditional and boring. Congrats! |
Congrats indeed ownership is great. One less authoritarian in your life :)
Does it come with maid service? |

thanks mate. yeah, it's sort of far from the center. but still comfortably reachable via public transport, so no problem. A comfy couch will be there for sure waiting for your magnificent throwup ;) |
