Excerpt from Filter Mag (Thurston comments on the new album):
"Coko said to us,'Oh, by the ways guys: Noise music is only good if you're the one making it.' She wanted us to make a record that sounded more like theme songs to her favorite TV shows. And of course, Kim complied."

Even if I hated the album, I applaud them for that.

yeah, totally. it's not the sonic youth i remember, but at least it's a album that my parents actually like, and we can listen to together. families builiding families. blah...

Family < Music =/= Career. Perhaps even Family = Career. Children have always been little Yokos, only more malicious than Yoko. I don't suppose noise would have much helped the career. At any rate...

She's not evil, but it's always annoying how kids change ppl, just like when any band gets older, their shit gets more mellow.

if i had a child i would do the same thing, that album will probably pay coco's college fees if she ever wants to go, i applaud thurston and kim. they love their daughter enough to write an album for her, wish all children could be so lucky.

I think Coco should write the songs for the next album.

i think coco with that sentence meant that if you are the guys playing (as in : as long as you are on the stage and not part of the audience) noise is good.
