D. Boon (Minutemen) memorial article
 

This is from an old local minnesota zine called The Squealer. I thought it was cool to hear about impressions of D Boon from people who knew him. I hate my scanner, so I haven't finished scanning the article, but I will sometime. This is one of the articles I sent to Michael Azerrad when he was writing Our Band Could Be Your Life.

No, I'm not an associate. He was looking for rescource material for the bands, and I sent him some articles (like the SY thrasher article in that other thread) and live tapes of bands.

I bought the book the day it came out, and I had it for a little while before I looked in the back and saw he thanked me on the acknowledgments page, which surprised me greatly.

I met him when his band King Of France played here and he signed the book for me.

I want to find that book and check it out, but I haven't seen it in a store yet

It's a great book. Well, it is to me as many of my favorites are included. Most of these bands should have their own books.
