Ramones Musical
 

Has anyone else heard about this ? I think it sounds interesting, i'd go see it.

It's being called "THE WORLD’S FIRST MUSICAL WITH A MOSH PIT!".
Gabba Gabba Hey!, the world’s first punk rock musical, takes 18 mini-masterpieces of bliss, longing and despair by seminal New York rockers the RAMONES – including the classics I Wanna Be Sedated, Beat On The Brat, Blitzkrieg Bop, 53rd & 3rd and Sheena Is A Punk Rocker - and weaves them into a postmodern fairy tale about the redeeming power of love.

They just did some shows in Australia and they were supposed to do some in london but apparently they've been cancelled now.

I really don't know what to make of all of this. In some ways, it sounds really cool. But in others it sounds really strange and offputting. I have mixed feelings towards this. I'll still see it when it comes out, though. Just to see what it's all about.

The Musical is an inherently cheeseball medium. The Cheeseballiest.

A muscial that lasts 29 minutes, as opposed to 2 1/2 to 3 hours. That would intresting.

I went to Mamma Mia, the Abba musical, with my girlfriend, and the payback was going to be her coming to see the Ramones one with me. But if it's been cancelled, then I guess I'll have to find some other kind of payback.

By the way, Mamma Mia was fucking great. We're going again some time.

The first thought that enters my mind when I read the words "Ramones musical" is punk is REALLY dead, and I'm not trying to start a debate, that's just free-association.

There already is a Ramones musical. It is called Rock and Roll High School. OK, well, technically it isn't a musical, but it is close enough.
