Where's the damn love?
Why does most everyone I meet or every review I read hate NYC Ghosts & Flowers? This has been one of my favorite Sy albums for awhile. The whole thing has very eerie/depressing/artsy tones which is sonic love to my ears. I am not saying it is the all time greatest SY record, but it deserves better treatment I think. Does anyone agree?

I think, considering their gear theft in '99, it was a damn good album. Really different, completely poetic.

Thank you! I was begining to worry about the ears out there. I usually say fuck critics, but it seems every review for that particular album are total trash. It's a shame really.

Nice signature drrrtyboots. Haha.

Not advocating drug use, but NYC G&F is a trip when stoned, LIGHTNIN made me hallucinate about frogs. NYC G&F a nice album.

Well do drugs if you can handle it , whatever.

That's funny because I was just thinking about how much of a "trip" NYC G&F sounds like just last week. |

Good! We should start a NYC G&F Army to kick all of the critics arses. |
I quite enjoy NYC G&F. I've seen good reviews of it too, but I know what you're saying, there are a lot of negative write-ups about that album.
|
I like that one a lot. Intense is a word that comes to mind. But which SY album is not?

Very true. |
I think Wire gave it a good review when it came out.
It really is underrated. The title track, especially. |
Great album...
It took me a while, but I love it now. |
We love it.
